Closed for a bit

Godblogging just isn't getting the keyboard time we hoped for, so for a bit it is closed. If you want it brought back to life, just let Fr. Scott, Bill, Avery, Jay, or Jen Know. Official funeral services will be held if it never comes back. God bless you,
Scott

Gravy, John, Avery, Eric, and Becky hung-out at Serranos last night while it rained we enjoyed each others company and some warm drinks. We caught up on what's going on in the last month and Becky and Eric conquered Calculus - good job. John and I camped on the west side of Missouri Mountain last Sat night then climbed Missouri on Sunday, it was a beautiful day - we could see for ever! AHHH Colorado!
See ya at Youth Group this coming Sunday, Sept 9th and in fact we're meeting every Sunday in September.
Look for a letter describing the Genesis Retreat and registration forms. The retreat is Oct 19,20, and 21.
Blessings and have a God filled week!
Gravy.

Look forward to a great time at Frontier Ranch for the Fall Diocesan Youth Retreat, October 19-21. We'll enjoy good live music and trust me on this one; lots of good food too! If you have questions, why not come to Youth Group and get some answers!

January 2008 is our 7th annual ski retreat to Breckenridge ski area. We stay in a condo right on the slope!

There are lots of opportunities to get closer to God with our Youth Group, so why not give it a try!

When something good comes into your life why not consider the possibility that God had a hand in that good fortune?

Adoption

On Friday of this week Jay and Jen leave for Ethiopia to pick up their adopted daughters, Noelle and Chloe. I hope we all will keep them all in our prayers. And, it is a very cool thing they are doing! The Bible uses adoption as an image of how Christians are related to God. Why do you think that image is used? Post you thoughts here and let others know. See you soon. Scott

YG at Fr Scott and Heathers

Hey there all...this Sunday night, 7/29, you are all invited to my house for fun, BBQ, some games or a hike. Here's the details:

5:30pm - arrive at Scott and Heathers
7:45pm or so - parents pick you back up
bring comfortable and sturdy shoes and a waterbottle would be good, too.

How to get to our house (click on map for a larger image), but:

From Monument Safeway, go 3.5 miles west toward Palmer Lake
Left at the 30mph sign onto South Valley ROad
God 2 blocks and turn left onto Old Carriage Road (1-way, dirt road)
at next intersection turn right onto Walnut Ave
Take 2nd left to stay on Walnut
3rd house on left (grey with grey garage)
234 Walnut Ave, 487-0882

Okay, see you there! Bring a friend.

The latest on the Howvers...

We are alive, just in case anyone wondered. I'm finally back in town after two weeks in Chicago. It's been a crazy summer for us with travel for work, and now we're just waiting for the word to go to Ethiopia to get the girls! If you click here you can check out our blog. There are new pictures of the girls there, and you can find out the latest on the adoption process. We're getting the house ready and figuring out what we need to pack for our trip. It's a lot, that's for sure!

We hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer! We miss you guys! Hopefully we'll see y'all soon!

Hi everyone! John and I are off on the Diocese backpacking trip this Sunday afternoon. We are hiking the Rocky Mountain National Park trail just north of Grand Lake. It's going to be a blast, six days living out of our packs. I am going to try to catch some trout which will be a change for me! I usually catch branches, twigs and me! Pray for us for safety, fun, growth, and not to be "kidnapped" by a bear and end up in his stomach! YUK! Hope everyone is having a great summer. See ya soon. Gravy

My Birtday...

Thanks to all who came to my house for my birthday! I had so much fun!!! we just sat around and ate and played darts... woot! I was very successful at my horse show 2 weeks ago and I'm getting ready for my next one...next week! This past show I came home with 2 firsts 1 second and 1 fourth...I was very pleased considering the barn that I go to has only had this horse (T-Rex) for 2 months. Hope everyone's summer is going well!
